Very Disappointed

I have to say that I am still waiting to hear from the Swansea Cat Protection all this time later. Obviously they are never going to contact me. I'm bitterly disappointed that I gave them all my precious work - over 35 crocheted cats which took me a year to make, plus all my cat ornaments - when there has been no feedback whatsoever. I have no idea whether my cats sold to help the charity. The couple of emails I sent ages ago were never answered :-(

If only they had given me some positive feedback I would have happily continued to donate more crafts and other things to this branch of Cats Protection. As it is I have felt very discouraged and haven't crocheted anything other than slippers for 18 months...

Wow.
I just found your Blog. Hate to read what happened to you. Would hate to give so much for something you obviously want to help with, and they cant even take the time to say Thank You.

Dont let them put you off crocheting what you like most. Even if THEY dont say thank you, others will.

So, I'll say thanks, for all the cute pictures of your crochet cats, and want to see more.

:D

Oh thank you SO much for leaving this lovely encouraging message which I appreciate very much!! It is so kind of you!

I expect I will make more crocheted cats in the future when I get some enthusiasm back. I've crocheted a lot of slippers over the past year!!!

Very best wishes and thanks again,
Jane

Jane, I am so sorry to read what happened to you and your lovely gift. They are lovely. I found your blog looking for cat crochet patterns that I could make for an organization that I volunteer with and must say yours are the cutest!

Jane, I have just discovered your gorgeous crochet works - your cats are adorable! However, I was appalled to read of the rudeness of the Swansea branch in not responding to you (honestly, some folk really are the limit) Are you sure these kitties were actually received at Swansea..knowing what the postal service is like? Do keep up your work..you have a talent which most people will appreciate! MMeeeOIW to Swansea Cats Protection.....

Thank you kind Anonymous person!

Yes, they eventually replied to my email to say they had my cats and a couple of photos, which I added to a previous blog about all this.

The cats didn't go by post, one of the Swansea CP helpers took all my cats away in her car, along with all the ornaments I donated, but there was no reaction from her about any of them at the time.

The thing that has annoyed me is that there has been no follow-up at all since then, apart from that one email reply, so I don't know whether they've sold or what's happened to them.

Oh well, just one of those things!!

I appreciate your nice comments very much,

Best wishes,
Jane
